Information we collect

Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, this tool helps us to record information on how many users we get in a month, weekly and so on. It also allows us to determine the most popular pages on our website and see how long a user spends on our site and where most of our users are based in the world. This information is generated by a "Cookie” (more details in the next section) and also collects a user's "IP address”(this is not visible to anyone apart from Google). You acknowledge that Wisppal is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and further agree that Wisppal is not responsible for the content of such External Web Sites. Social Media
Communication, engagement and actions taken through external social media platforms that this website and its owners participate in are custom to the terms and conditions as well as the privacy policies held with each social media platform respectively.
Users are advised to use social media platforms wisely and communicate/engage upon them with due care and caution in regard to their own privacy and personal details. This website nor its owners will ever ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through email.
We sometimes will share member content with their username on social media with a direct link to the content for everyone to view. We will never share anything else relating to the member.
How we use your information
We may use your personal information to provide you with access to the Site, enable you to post comments and user-generated content, communicate with you about the Site, and respond to your inquiries and requests.
We may also use your information for our own internal business purposes, such as analyzing usage trends and improving the Site's content and functionality.

Wisppal does not share, rent, trade or sell personally identifying information about our members, with third parties for their promotional purposes. Wisppal makes every reasonable effort to disallow and discourage members from sharing personally identifying information through website features.
In certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your personal data to law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, courts, or other public authorities, where required by law or where necessary to comply with legal obligations.
We may also disclose your personal data to third parties in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business or assets. In such cases, we will take appropriate measures to ensure that your personal data is protected and processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Use of third-party plugins and apps
Wisppal aims to avoid using unnecessary third-party plugins and apps, unless for security purposes or to offer certain features to both members and users. The following are examples of third-party apps used on the site. Please, read these carefully:
- Website hosting – We use AWS (Amazon Web Services ) to host our site so everyone can access the site (You can view their privacy policy here: https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/).
- buff.ly (shortens long website links) – we us this to shorten links that we post on social media. (You can view their privacy policy here: https://buffer.com/legal)
Data Retention
We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
Any data collected on Wisppal members will be kept in our database for 12 months. If the member does not engage with Wisppal in this time, we will permanently delete all their data after 12 months from all our databases. By "engage”, we mean opening any email, clicking on links in emails and logging into the site.
Before deleting their data we will send out a couple of emails to warn the member that they will be removed from our database if they do not act now. After the member has been removed from our databases, they are free to sign-up to Wisppal again, as a new member.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data or to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.
In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transmit that data to another data controller. You can exercise your rights by contacting us at privacy(at)wisppal.com
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that we have violated your rights under GDPR.
Opting out of our communications
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may opt out of receiving them by following the instructions included at the bottom of each newsletter and email or using the 'settings' options in your Wisppal member account. You can also email privacy(at)wisppal.com, with the word 'UNSUBSCRIBE' in the subject line to opt out of all Wisppal email communications.
Requests for information
At any time, members of the site can request a copy of all data we have on them. Any requests for information will be responded to within a month. If we need more time to respond to your request, we will still let you know within a month of the request being made and the reason why we need more time. All requests for information will be free. However, if the request for information is complex and excessive, we may refuse to accept the request. You will receive an email explaining why we have refused your request and you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The ICO is the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would be grateful if you would contact us first if you do have a complaint so that we can try to resolve it for you.

If you feel the data we have is inaccurate or requires updating, please send us an email at privacy(at)wisppal.com and we will update your records within one month of receiving the email. If you keep on requesting changes to your data or your request is excessive, we have the right to refuse your request and will send you an email within a month explaining why it has been refused.
Requests to delete data
Members of Wisppal can delete all data we have on them in two ways. The first way is by deleting their account in the settings area when they are logged in. And the second way is by sending us an email, requesting to be deleted from Wisppal. Once your account has been deleted, you will receive one final "Goodbye” email from us to confirm that all data we have on you will be deleted. Once this request is made, we will delete all data within one month and you will no longer be able to login into your account. At any time you can sign-up and become a site member again. Transfer of Data
At times, we may transfer your personal data to countries outside the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA) which do not have the same data protection laws as the UK and EEA. Whenever we transfer your personal data outside the UK and EEA, we will take all reasonable steps necessary to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Confidentiality and Security
Information a member submits to wisppal.com that relates to their account is password-protected. No employee of Wisppal nor any automated system will contact a member by email asking for a member's login details, password or any other personal information related or unrelated to Wisppal. If any message claiming or appearing to come from Wisppal is sent to you asking for such information, please report it immediately to privacy(at)wisppal.com.
If there is a personal data breach, Wisppal will notify the ICO within 72hrs of the breach occurring. A personal breach refers to the accidental, destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorised sharing of, or access to, personal data. If in the case the security breach has a high impact on the user's or member's rights or freedom we will let the individual/s involved know as soon as possible. In all cases, we will keep a written record of all data breaches identified.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to changing legal, technical or business developments. When we update our Privacy Policy, we will take appropriate measures to inform you, consistent with the significance of the changes we make. We will obtain your consent to any material Privacy Policy changes if and where required by applicable data protection laws. You can see when this Privacy Policy was last updated by checking the "last updated" date displayed at the top of this Privacy Policy.
