Uploading Books
- Tap the 'Upload' link in the main navigation or the + icon on mobile.
- Upload your PDF file (max file size: 10MB for Free and 20 MB for Pro members).
- Fill in the book details: Title, Short description, Genre and Optional: Cover image .
- Select: Language and age group for your book.
- Visibility options:
- Everyone: The book will be available to all website visitors (including members and non-members). And indexable by search engines.
- Myself Only: Private book - no one can view this book apart from the uploader.
- Followers Only: Only followers of your profile can view this book. A follower exclusive.
- Unlisted: Not visible on the platform. Only visitors with the unique link can view this book. Good for 'Coming Soon' books, where you can gather feedback from a select few users.
- Credit other authors: If the book is a collaboration or a dedication, mention the username of the person/s here.
- Enable Comments: If comments are disabled, then no one can comment on your book.
- AI Checkbox: Let readers know if your book was AI-generated. This setting does not impact book rankings or visibility.
- Click “Submit” to publish the book.
Note: You can change the visibility setting of any book at any time by editing it in your library.
Note: Daily upload limits include: Free users: Up to 2 PDFs per day. Pro users: Up to 10 PDFs per day.
Managing Your Published Books
To view and manage your uploaded books:
- Click “My Books” in your profile
- You'll see a list of all your published PDFs
- Tap a book you would like to edit
- Select the “Edit” button below the flipbook viewer
- From here, you can view each book to:
- Edit book details (title, description, genre)
- Change visibility
- Replace the PDF
- There is also an option to “Delete” the book
Tip: Readers love browsing polished profiles - so make sure your book titles and descriptions are catchy and well-formatted!
Scheduled and Draft Books
To view and manage your draft or scheduled books:
- Tap the 'Upload' link in the main navigation or the + icon on mobile.
- On this screen, you will see both 'Drafts' and 'Scheduled' books
- You can “Edit” or “Delete” both drafts and scheduled books.
Note: Scheduling books is a Pro feature - You need a paid subscription to access this.
Analytics Dashboard
The analytics dashboard consists of three areas: Overview, Published Books and Audience.
Overview: Shows an overview of your published books and readers' data.
- Book Impressions: The number of times users saw your published book/s on the Library/Profile page and in recommendations.
- Total Reads: Page views on your own published books (only count views after 10 seconds)
- Unique Readers: Unique users (both members and non-members) based on unique ID who viewed your published books.
- Book Engagements: Total of the following for your published books: Book Saves, Book Comments, Book ratings and Book Completions
- Profile Views: Page views on your author's profile (only count views after 10 seconds)
- Profile Unique Views: Unique users (both members and non-members) based on unique ID viewing your author profile.
- Total Followers: Number of followers on your own author profile.
- Profile Link Clicks: Number of clicks on external links on your own author profile, i.e. your website or store links.
- Line Chart (Pro feature): Free members will see placeholder data. Upgrade to a Pro plan to see actual data for each of the above metrics on a line chart.
Published Books: Shows data specifically for your published books.
- Avg. Pages Read: Average page count read for each of your published books.
- Avg. Read Time: The time spent on average by readers reading your published books.
- Read Rate: Percentage of users who read your book after viewing it on the Library page or recommendations (Total Reads / Book Impressions * 100).
- Book Completions: When all pages in your published book/s are read.
- Completion Rate: Percentage of users who completed reading your published book after reading it (Book Completions / Total Reads * 100).
- Total Book Saves: Number of users who saved your published book/s.
- Book Comments: Number of comments and replies on your published books.
- # of Ratings: The number of users who rated your published book/s.
- Avg. Book Rating: The average ratings of all your published book/s.
- Buy Book Clicks: The number of clicks on the ‘Buy Book’ button (Pro Feature) on your published books.
- Your Top Books (Pro): Free members will see placeholder data. Upgrade to a Pro plan to see actual data for your published books at a book level.
Audience: Shows demographic data from your readers. Readers are the unique users to view your published books. Free members will see placeholder data. Upgrade to a Pro plan to see actual data for each of the charts.
- Your Readers by Country: Percentage and number of readers at a country-level. Country data is taken from the country selected by users on their own profiles.
- Your Readers by Genre Interests: Percentage and number of readers at an interest level. Interests data is taken from the interests that users select on their profiles.
