Community Guidelines
At Wisppal, we believe in building a creative, respectful and inspiring space for writers and readers. These guidelines outline what is expected from all members of the community - whether you're sharing your stories, leaving feedback, or discovering new reads.
By using Wisppal, you agree to follow these guidelines. Failure to do so may result in warnings, content removal or account suspension.

Publishing Content
Allowed Content:
- Original work in PDF format, including fiction, poetry, essays, short stories, magazines, comics, graphic novels and books.
- You must hold the rights to any work you upload.
- Work in the public domain is also permissible. However, you MUST NOT claim authorship of the original work.
- Ideally, for books in public domains, you should provide a new, original contribution, such as a new translation, your own commentary, a unique cover design or a new annotated edition.
Not Allowed:
- Plagiarised or stolen content.
- Explicitly hateful, violent or discriminatory material.
- Pornographic or sexually exploitative content (romance and mature themes are allowed, but must be clearly marked).
- Spam or promotional uploads unrelated to books or writing.
Examples of offensive or upsetting content that is NOT allowed include:
- Extreme violence (e.g., torture, graphic stabbings, killings)
- Racism or hate speech
- Strong political views intended to provoke or attack
- Strong religious opinions intended to judge or convert
- Pro self-harm or pro suicide content
- Promotion of eating disorders
- Content encouraging harm to others
- Cruelty to animals or humans
- Nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit material
- Drug abuse glorification
- Terror attacks, threats or extremist propaganda
- Sexist views or derogatory opinions
Commenting & Feedback
Wisppal encourages constructive and positive interactions.
- Be kind and respectful in your comments. Critique ideas, not people.
- Stay specific - helpful feedback encourages growth.
- Avoid spoilers or mark them clearly if you must share them.
- No harassment, bullying, hate speech or personal attacks.
- Spam, self-promotion, or repetitive posting is not allowed.
User Conduct
- Treat fellow community members with respect, regardless of background or opinion.
- Try to avoid gossip, and do not engage with any negative comments (Instead, report them).
- Use your voice for good. Try helping others, sharing your knowledge, and fighting for a cause that you believe in.
- Do not impersonate other users, authors or Wisppal staff.
- Keep discussions relevant to books, writing and the creative community.
- If you encounter behaviour that violates these rules, use the Report feature or contact support.
Ratings & Reviews
- Ratings should reflect the quality of the book, not personal grudges.
- Reviews and comments should be honest, respectful, and free of offensive language.
- Attempting to manipulate ratings (e.g., multiple fake accounts) is strictly prohibited.
Safety & Privacy
- Never share your private information (email, phone number, home address) publicly on Wisppal.
- Do not pressure others to share their personal details.
- Respect other user's privacy at all times.
- If you see something upsetting or disturbing online, speak to someone you trust about it. You should also report the content to keep others in the community safe.
- When posting content, double-check the privacy settings of the content.
Consequences of Breaking the Rules
Depending on the severity of the violation, actions may include:
- A warning message or notification.
- Temporary suspension of commenting, uploading or account access.
- Permanent account ban for repeated or serious violations.
